How can I buy new stickers?

You can buy stickers using LINE Coins. LINE Coins are available on the iOS version of LINE 4.6.0 and above.

1. If you do not have enough Coins, please purchase more using the following steps.

a. Tap More on the main menu bar.
b. Tap Settings.
c. Tap Coins.
d. Tap Charge.
e. Tap the price of the Coins you wish to purchase.

2. If you already have Coins or are using an iOS device with LINE versions earlier than 4.6.0, you can purchase stickers using the following steps.

a. Tap More on the main menu bar.
b. Tap Sticker Shop.
c. Tap the sticker set you wish to purchase.
d. Tap Purchase.

On the Sticker Keyboard, can I change the order of my stickers?

Yes! By going to More > Settings > Stickers > Sticker Options, you can change the order.

*You can also go to More > Settings > Stickers > My Stickers, and tap the Edit button at the top right to change the order of the stickers on your sticker keyboard.

Can I use the purchased stickers on the PC version of LINE?

Yes! You can use your stickers on the PC version of LINE!

After downloading the received or purchased stickers to LINE using your smartphone, you will be able to use them on the PC version of LINE.

Why are the stickers I downloaded not showing up in the in-chat sticker selection window?

From LINE 4.0.0 onwards, newly downloaded stickers are added in order to the left portion of the sticker selection window, next to the clock icon.

After downloading a new set of stickers, swipe to the left portion of the sticker selection window in your chats to find them.

Can I delete my stickers?

To delete your sticker sets, please follow the steps below.

1. Tap More on the main menu bar.
2. Tap Settings.
3. Tap Stickers.
4. Tap My Stickers.
5. Tap Edit.
6. Tap Remove or “-“ next to the sticker set you wish to delete.
7. Tap OK.

Deleted stickers can be downloaded again if they are still within their validity dates. Please note that purchased stickers cannot be deleted completely from the app.

Payment

Do I need to pay for stickers every time I use them?

No! If your stickers are still within the validity date, you can use them as many times as you like without charge!

How can I pay for the stickers?

All transactions can be made through the App Store and Google Play.
For further information please consult the respective companies directly.

I want to return my stickers.

Sorry, stickers cannot be returned or exchanged.

Sending Gifts

How can I send stickers as gifts?

To send stickers as gifts, you will need to charge your Coins. Stickers cannot be sent as gifts from iPhones or other iOS devices.

Please check how many Coins you have remaining by doing the following.

1. Tap More on the main menu bar.
2. Tap Settings.
3. Tap Coins.
4. Check the total amount of Coins left next to My Coins.

If you have enough Coins remaining:

1. Tap More on the main menu bar.
2. Tap Sticker Shop.
3. Tap the stickers you want to send as a gift.
4. Tap Send as a Gift.
5. Tap the friend who you wish to send the gift to and tap Select.
6. Tap Purchase this Gift.

If you do NOT have enough Coins remaining:

1. Tap More on the main menu bar.
2. Tap Settings.
3. Tap Coins.
4. Tap Charge on the top right.
5. Purchase the amount of Coins you wish.

Purchased Coins can only be used to buy stickers for your own use with iOS devices.

Does it cost money to send free stickers as gifts?

No! Sending free stickers is completely free!

I received a sticker set as a gift. How do I use them?

You can receive gifts after updating your LINE app to ver. 2.2.0 or higher.
*iOS users can send gifts on LINE version 3.4.0 or higher.

After upgrading to LINE 2.2.0 / 3.4.0 or higher, please go to More > Settings > Stickers > Gift Box > Received Stickers.


Please select which stickers you want to use from the Gift Box and tap them to go to a download page. After downloading, the stickers will be ready for use.

*If there is a validity date for the stickers, the days of validity will start to countdown from the date of download. However, please note that if the stickers are not downloaded for 16 days (inclusive) after the friend has received them, the validity period will start to count down automatically after the 16 days.

Why has the number of valid days left decreased even though I have not used the stickers?

Can I send the stickers to friends overseas?

Yes! You can send sticker gifts to friends overseas!
*There is no extra charge for sending stickers to overseas friends.

Can I still use my purchased stickers even if I change my mobile phone number or device?

If you have performed either email registration or Facebook verification BEFORE changing your device /mobile phone number, you will be able to access your previous LINE account which means that you will also be able to access your purchased stickers.

When changing your mobile phone number or device, please follow the steps below to re-activate your previous LINE account.
1. Before changing your device/number, please register an email and password to your LINE account by going to More > Settings > Email Registration. Alternatively, you can link your Facebook to LINE by going to More > Settings > Accounts > Facebook.

2. After changing your device/number, please select LINE User Login at LINE's start screen.

3. You will be able to re-activate the account you were using in Step 1 by entering the registered email and password or by logging into the Facebook account you verified with in step 1.

Why am I unable to send gifts to my friend?

If any of the following messages are displayed when trying to send a friend stickers or themes, you cannot send them gifts.
- You cannot give these stickers to this user as he/she already has them.
- You cannot send this sticker set to this user, as it is not available in the country he/she is registered in.
- You cannot give the stickers to this friend. Please select another friend.
- This friend cannot receive themes. Please select a different friend.

These messages are displayed for one of the following reasons.
- Your friend is using an OS that does not support stickers or themes.
- You are trying to send free stickers available only in specific regions to someone outside of those regions. Such stickers can only be sent if both you and your friend are in the available regions.
- Your friend’s account is verified using Facebook. Please ask them to verify using their phone number instead.
- Your friend is using a version of LINE older than 4.0.0.

Coins

How can I charge my Coins?

Simple!

1. Tap More on the main menu bar.
2. Tap Settings.
3. Tap Coins.
4. Tap Charge at the top right of the screen.

You can also charge your Coins from the purchasing page of items if you find yourself short of Coins.

How can I pay for Coins?

Payments for Coins can be made via App Store and Google Play payment systems.
For further details regarding payments, please consult the respective companies directly.

I want to return my Coins.

Sorry, we do not process refunds/exchanges for purchsed Coins.

Why am I not receiving my bonus Coins?

You may purchase any of the following amounts of LINE Coins.

100 Coins
200 Coins
500 Coins (Includes 100 bonus Coins)
800 Coins (Includes 200 bonus Coins)
1,600 Coins (Includes 400 bonus Coins)
3,400 Coins (Includes 1,000 bonus Coins)

If you purchase over 500 Coins, your bonus Coins will be included in the Coins you purchased. For example if you purchase the 500 Coin set, it is calculated as 400 paid Coins plus an addition 100 bonus Coins.

You can view your remaining Coin balance on the Coin management screen.

1. Tap More on the main screen.
2. Tap Settings.
3. Tap Coins.
The amount of bonus Coins you have is displayed beneath your Coin balance.

Can I use my Charged Coins and items bought with Coins if I change my phone no. or device?

You can carry over existing Coins and items purchased using Coins with the Email Registration function.
However, if you are switching to a device which operates on a different OS (e.g., iPhone→Android / Android→iPhone) you will not be able to carry over your remaining Coins.

1. Before changing your device/number, please register an email and password to your LINE account by going to More > Settings > Email Registration. Alternatively, you can link your Facebook to LINE by going to More > Settings > Accounts > Facebook.

2. When starting LINE for the first time on your new device/device with new phone number, please select the option, LINE User Login.

3. You will be able to re-activate the account you were using in Step 1 by entering the registered email and password or by logging into the Facebook account you verified with in step 1.

We’re sorry to say that if you are switching to a different OS, you will not be able to carry over your existing Coins. We do apologize for this and ask for your kind understanding.

I cannot take part in the promotion because I have already installed the app.

Users who have already installed the promotional apps will not be able to take part in the promotion.

The Free Coins promotions are targeted at users who have not installed the app yet. If you have already done so, you will not receive the Coins even if you delete the app and reinstall it.

Theme Shop

Where can I buy themes?

Coins are necessary to buy themes. Users with iOS devices must be using LINE version 4.6.0 or later to purchase LINE Coins.

1. If you have insufficient Coins, please follow the steps below to purchase more.

c. Tap Coins.
d. Tap Charge.
e. Tap the amount of Coins you wish to purchase.

2. If you already have Coins, or are on an iOS device with a version of LINE older than 4.6.0, please follow the steps below to purchase themes.

c. Tap the theme you wish to purchase.
d. Tap Purchase.

Can I send themes to friends as gifts?

Themes can be sent as gifts from the in-app Theme Shop or the LINE Store for Android users, and the LINE Store only for iOS users.

From the Theme Shop
1. Tap More on the main menu bar
2. Tap Theme Shop
3. Tap the theme you wish to send
4. Tap Send as a Gift
5. Check the circle next to the friend you wish to send it to and tap Select
6. Tap Send as a Gift

From the LINE Store
Themes can be purchased from the LINE Store at the following link.

You must register your phone number and email address to your LINE account before you can use the LINE Store.

Can I use my themes on the PC version of LINE?

Themes cannot be used on the PC version of LINE.

How do I purchase themes on devices other than smartphones?

Themes can only be purchased on iOS or Android devices. Themes cannot be purchased on other devices such as Windows Phone or Blackberry.

I received a notification indicating that I have to upgrade my theme. How do I upgrade?

Depending on the version of your LINE app, it may also be necessary to upgrade any themes you have. Select the themes you wish to upgrade to perform the action. You may receive a message saying that the theme cannot be used if you do not perform the upgrade.
