Creating a new LINE account on PC toggle
In addition to the smartphone version, you can also sign up for a LINE account on your PC. 
Note: You need to have a phone number that can receive calls or text messages. 

1. Download the PC version of LINE here.
2. Start the PC version of LINE.
3. Click Sign up or Registration.
4. After selecting your country and entering your phone number, click Next.
5. Enter the verification code sent by text message to the phone number you entered in step 4 and click Next.
6. Enter your password twice and click Next.
7. After entering your name, turn Allow Others to Add ON or OFF, and click Done.
8. Register an email address or click Skip.

Using LINE

Recommended system specifications for LINE toggle
We recommend the following system specifications for using LINE:

iOS devices
Devices running iOS 8.0 or later
Note
- If you're using a version of LINE earlier than 6.0.0, you'll need to update the LINE app.
- Devices running a version of iOS earlier than 8.0 can use LINE up to version 6.7.0.

Android devices
Devices running Android OS 4.1 or later
Note
- If you're using a version of LINE earlier than 6.0.0, you'll need to update the LINE app.
- Devices running Android OS 4.0.3 to 4.0.4 can only use LINE up to version 7.2.2.

Note: Only available for use in Japan.

Note: You cannot create a new account on Android Wear devices.

The following devices are not supported:
- iPod touch
- WALKMAN
- SmartTV BOX
- Fire OS for Kindle, etc.
- PHS devices
- Simulators/ emulators (virtual environments)

You can use the following versions of LINE on PC. The versions of LINE available to you will vary depending on your OS, so make sure to only check the information relevant to the OS you're using.

How can I make LINE automatically start when my PC starts up? toggle
If you'd like to have LINE automatically start up when you turn on your PC, please try one of the following:

• Check the "Run LINE when Windows starts" option at the login screen.
• After logging in to LINE, click the "..." icon > Settings > Basic > check "Run LINE when Windows starts" under Login Settings.

1. Click the "" icon.

2. Click Settings > Basic.

3. Choose a language from the drop-down list under Language.

How do I check which PC version of LINE I am using? toggle
Please follow the steps below for your version of LINE.

Windows
1. Start LINE.
2. Click the cogwheel icon > About LINE.

Mac
1. Start LINE.
2. Click the cogwheel icon > About LINE.

Windows 10
1. Start LINE.
2. Click About LINE on the bottom of the login screen.

Chrome
1. Open the Google Chrome browser.
2. Click the three dots on the top right of the browser > More tools.
3. Click Extensions.
4. See the version displayed next to the LINE icon.

Deleting your account toggle
Uninstalling or deleting the LINE app will not delete your account.

If you want to delete your account, read the following notes before trying the steps below.
Note: You can only delete your account from the PC version of LINE if you signed up for it on PC.

Important:
- Deleting your account will also delete all data such as your registered phone number on LINE, friends, groups, chat history, etc.
- Even if you reinstall LINE, you won’t be able to restore your data after deleting your account.

1. Log in from the PC version of LINE.
2. Click the settings icon > Settings.
3. Click Basic.
4. Click Delete Account at the bottom of the screen.
Note: If Delete Account doesn't appear, make the app full screen and try again.

Changing your profile photo toggle
To change your profile photo:

1. Click the settings icon > Settings.
2. Click Basic.
3. Click the camera icon on the lower right of your profile photo.
4. Click Select from My Computer.
5. Select the photo you want to set and click Open.
6. After cropping the photo, click OK.

Changing your display name toggle
To change your display name:

1. Click the settings icon > Settings.
2. Click Basic.
3. Click the pencil icon next to your display name.
4. Enter a name and then press the Enter key or click the check mark.
