Does it cost money to use LINE? toggle
The standard features of LINE can be used free of charge. Some items such as Coins and Stickers are chargeable.

However, you will need to pay for the data usage charged by your mobile phone company. You may be charged a data usage fee by your mobile phone company if you do not subscribe to an unlimited data plan, or if you exceed the data usage limit of your plan. We recommend subscribing to an unlimited data plan.

Is LINE available overseas? toggle
LINE is available anywhere in the world, as long as you can connect to a 3G or Wi-Fi network. You can use the service for free over Wi-Fi, however, as with any other apps, you may be charged a data usage fee on the 3G network, depending on your network usage.

Please check with your phone company about roaming fees before using LINE overseas on your Smartphone.

Of course, LINE is free and will not even charge you for international calls!

How do I use the PC version of LINE? toggle
To use the PC version of LINE you will need to register an email to your LINE account on your smartphone or tablet using the steps below. You cannot register as a new user from PC version.

1. Register your email address on your smartphone following these instructions.

2. Download LINE on your PC from the following webpage.
http://line.me/en/download

3. Log in to the PC version of LINE using the email address and password registered in step 1.

Recommended system specifications for LINE toggle
We recommend the following system specifications for using LINE:

• iOS devices
Devices running iOS 8.0 or later
Note: Devices running a version of iOS earlier than 8.0 can use LINE up to version 6.7.0.

• Android devices
Devices running Android OS 4.1 or later
Note: Devices running an older version of Android OS can use the following versions of LINE:
- Android OS 4.0.3 - 4.0.4: up to LINE version 7.2.2
- Android OS 2.3.0 - 4.0.2: up to LINE version 5.1.4
- Android OS earlier than 2.3.0: up to LINE version 4.5.4

What are the restrictions in Firefox OS 1.0? toggle
Some devices running on Firefox OS 1.0 do not support the following features:

1. Background mode
A mode that enables the LINE app to function when it is not in the foreground.

2. Push notifications.
A service that enables LINE to notify you of new messages when the LINE app is in background mode.

End of service notice toggle
On Monday July 3, 2017 (GMT+9), service for the LINE app will be discontinued for the following OSes.
Note: In addition, you will not be able to create new accounts on these platforms starting Thursday April 27, 2017 (GMT+9).

To use LINE on iOS, Android, or PC (except Windows 8), please download the app from this link.

If you wish to transfer your LINE account to another supported OS such as iOS or Android, there will be some things you'll need to set up on your account beforehand.
