LINE POINT CLUB is a special incentives program that earns you rewards for your level. Your LINE POINT CLUB level is determined based on how many Points you've earned in the past six months from your use of LINE services.

If your LINE POINT CLUB level is not Platinum even though you registered a Visa LINE Pay credit card to your LINE Pay account, it may be due to one of the following reasons.

• It's still the same month in which you registered your card.
Note: Your LINE POINT CLUB level will be updated after 10 am on the first day of the following month.
• You earned fewer than 5,000 Points in the past six months.

If your current level is Platinum and you accidentally delete your Visa LINE Pay credit card from your LINE Pay account or you need to delete your card because you were reissued a new one, your level will remain Platinum as long as you register a Visa LINE Pay credit card to your account by 9:59 am on the first day of the following month.
Note: You must also have fulfilled the condition of earning at least 5,000 Points in the past six months.

A Visa brand credit card with all of the perks of LINE Pay, the Visa LINE Pay credit card can be used in over 200 countries and regions around the world.

Visa LINE Pay credit card perks
• Make payments at LINE Pay merchants without adding money to your LINE Pay balance in advance.
• Earn 3% back in Points for credit card purchases made in the first year.
• Earn Points for payments made with LINE Pay based on your LINE POINT CLUB level.

Annual credit card fee
JPY 1,250 (excluding tax)
Note:
- There is no annual fee for the first year.
- After the first year, you won't be charged the annual fee if you make at least one credit card purchase yearly.

Point rewards
You'll earn Point rewards after linking your Visa LINE Pay credit card to LINE Pay.
Note: You won't receive Points if your card is not linked to your LINE Pay account.

Transactions eligible for Point rewards
• Add & Pay purchases
Depending on your level, payments made at LINE Pay merchants using Add & Pay will earn back Points for 1-3% of your purchase total.

• Credit card purchases
Credit card purchases made at Visa merchants will earn back 3% of your purchase total as Points.
Note: This reward rate applies for the first year. For more information, see this Help article.

After finishing the online application for your Visa LINE Pay credit card, the time it takes for the card to arrive will differ depending on which method you used for setting a bank account.

If you set the bank account online:
Your card will arrive about one week after you finished setting the bank account.

If you set the bank account via post:
Your card will arrive within two to three weeks of sending your bank account information.

To register your Visa LINE Pay credit card to your LINE Pay account: 
1. From the LINE Pay main menu, tap Apply for or register a new card under "Visa LINE Pay credit card" > Link card.
2. Enter your card information.
3. Tap Add a card.

Note:
- You can also register your Visa LINE Pay credit card from Add Credit Card on the LINE Pay main menu.
- You will not earn Points until your Visa LINE Pay credit card is registered to your LINE Pay account.

Spending limit for payments at Visa merchants
Check your limit on the Vpass online service offered for Sumitomo Mitsui credit card holders (only available in Japanese).
Note: You'll need to log in to your Vpass account.

LINE Pay spending limits
Check your limits by going to the LINE Pay main menu and tapping Settings > Balance Types and Limits.

If you've exceeded your Visa LINE Pay credit card limit, you cannot use Add & Pay to make payments at LINE Pay merchants. In this case, change your payment method to LINE Pay balance when using LINE Pay to make payments at LINE Pay merchants.
Note:
- You need to add money before you can make payments from your LINE Pay balance.
- Make sure you haven't exceeded your LINE Pay spending limits.

To change your payment method to your LINE Pay balance, go to the LINE Pay main menu and tap Add & Pay or Payment method in the middle of the screen.

To set up installment or revolving payments, first complete a payment and then apply for あとから分割 (Pay with installments later) or あとからリボ (Make revolving payments later) on the Vpass online service offered for Sumitomo Mitsui credit card holders.

As a rule, the amounts for transactions completed between the first and last day of each month are withdrawn on the 26th of the following month.
Note: When the 26th is a Saturday, Sunday, or national holiday, the withdrawal date will be the next business day.

To check the "Transaction complete" date for a payment, go to the LINE Pay main menu, tap History, and select the payment.

For credit card purchases at Visa merchants
Check your payment details on the Vpass online service for Sumitomo Mitsui credit card holders (only available in Japanese).

The time it takes for you to receive your Points will vary depending on the payment method you used.

You can check the Points you've received by going to the LINE main menu > Wallet > LINE POINT CLUB > History.

For Add & Pay
Points are issued within a few days of the payment date. You'll receive a notification message from the LINE Wallet (LINEウォレット) official account when your Points are issued.

For credit card purchases at Visa merchants
Points are issued within a few days of the date you see in your history on the Vpass online service for Sumitomo Mitsui credit card holders (only available in Japanese).
Note:
- You'll need to log in to your Vpass account.
- You will not receive a notification message from the LINE Wallet official account when your Points are issued.

To check payments made at LINE Pay merchants:

It can take a few days or up to several months to receive refunds for canceled Add & Pay payments or card payments made at Visa merchants.
Note: The refund will not be made to your LINE Pay balance.

Also, a refund cannot be issued until the cancelation has been processed by the merchant. You can check the cancelation status for online payments in the relevant online service's purchase history.

For Add & Pay
Refunds are issued once a payment has a "Transaction complete" date in its Purchase Details. To check a payment's details, go to the LINE Pay main menu and tap History > the payment.

If you cancel a payment that used Points, the Points will be refunded along with the amount used from Add & Pay.

For credit card purchases at Visa merchants
Refunds will be issued in one of the following ways:
• The refund amount will be subtracted from the billed amount on the payment date, canceling out the payment amount.
• You will be charged on the payment date, then receive a refund on the payment date the following month.

Note: It can take a few days or up to several months to complete a transaction with some merchants.

For Add & Pay purchases
From the LINE Pay main menu, tap History and select a payment. Points will be issued within a few days of the "Transaction complete" date you see in the Purchase Details.
Note:
- Check the chat message sent by the LINE Wallet (LINEウォレット) official account to see how many Points you're scheduled to receive.
- The time it takes for the "Transaction complete" date to appear depends on the store or service.

For credit card purchases at Visa merchants
Points are issued within a few days of the date you see in your history on the Vpass online service for Sumitomo Mitsui credit card holders (only available in Japanese).
Note: You'll need to log in to your Vpass account.

To check the Points you have, go to the LINE main menu > Wallet > LINE POINT CLUB.

Points will not be issued for any purchases made with your Visa LINE Pay credit card before it has been registered to your LINE Pay account, so make sure to register your card before you start using it.

If you delete your Visa LINE Pay credit card from LINE Pay or register a new one before your Points are awarded, you may not be able to receive them as intended.

You will not receive LINE notifications for the following transactions:
• Payments of JPY 10 or less
• iD payments that are less than a certain amount
• Recurring payments (e.g. utility fees, mobile service bills)
• Some e-money payments (e.g. electronic toll collection systems)
• Some in-flight and on-ship payments
• Returns and cancelations
• Payments at some stores/for some services specified by Sumitomo Mitsui Card

Notifications may also be delayed or not sent in other cases, depending on where the payment was made.

You can cancel your Visa LINE Pay credit card via the Vpass online service offered for Sumitomo Mitsui credit card holders (only available in Japanese).
Note:
- You'll need to log in to your Vpass account.
- Canceling your Visa LINE Pay credit card doesn't delete your LINE or LINE Pay account.

Before canceling your credit card, be sure to confirm the information below.

If you have any pre-approved payments for a LINE Pay merchant
Your pre-approved payment contracts will be deleted with the cancelation of your credit card. Check the current status of your payments by going to the LINE Pay main menu and choosing Settings > Pre-approved payment.
Note: To change or cancel a pre-approved payment, contact the merchant that appears.

If your LINE POINT CLUB level is Platinum
Be aware that your level will drop to Gold or lower the month after you cancel your Visa LINE Pay credit card.
Note: You must have a Visa LINE Pay credit card added to your LINE Pay account for your level to be Platinum.

If your LINE Pay payment method is set to Add & Pay
After canceling your Visa LINE Pay credit card, you will no longer be able to use Add & Pay.

When making online, Scan Bill, or code payments at LINE Pay merchants, be sure to change the payment method in the LINE Pay main menu to LINE Pay balance.

Note: There is a JPY 400 (excluding tax) service charge for each additional family member.

A family card cannot be issued at the same time as your ordinary Visa LINE Pay credit card. After having an ordinary card issued, check the details on this page (only available in Japanese), log in to your Vpass account, and then apply for a family card.

Points earned for the use of a family card are issued to the LINE Pay account that is linked to the card.

You can apply for an ETC (electronic toll collection) Visa LINE Pay credit card with no annual membership fees for the first year.
Note: There is an annual membership fee of JPY 500 (excluding tax) after the first year. However, the annual fee will be waived each year if you use the card to make ETC payments.

You can have the ETC card issued when you apply for an ordinary Visa LINE Pay credit card, or at a later date. If you have the ETC card issued later, make sure to check the details on this page (only available in Japanese) and log in to your Vpass account before applying.

Points earned for ETC card use are issued to the same LINE Pay account that is linked to your Visa LINE Pay credit card.

• Adding money to e-money/prepaid card/wallet services (e.g. WAON, Edy, Suica, Mobile Suica, PASMO, Mobile PASMO, ICOCA, Kyash, prepaid cards issued by Sumitomo Mitsui Card).
Note: 
- This includes adding money to Suica, Mobile Suica, PASMO, Mobile PASMO, or ICOCA to use as a commuter pass.
- You may be awarded Points in some cases when using your Visa LINE Pay card as a set payment method (e.g. for smartphone payments).
• Sending money.
• Purchasing gift cards (e.g. Visa, iTunes, Netflix, Google, PlayStation, Amazon).
• Purchasing financial products (e.g. mutual funds, stocks, cryptocurrencies).
• Payments to public institutions and facilities (e.g. museum entrance fees, payments at some hospitals and clinics).
• Payments to charitable organizations.
• Payments made at post offices.
• One-time tax or insurance payments of over JPY 50,000.
• National pension plan payments.
• Charitable donations/fundraising (including the "hometown tax" (ふるさと納税) program).
• Membership fee payments (e.g. for credit cards or electronic toll collection systems).
• Service charge payments (e.g. for revolving or installment credit card payments).
• Borrowing cash on credit.

Some services and products are not recognized as eligible for Points by Sumitomo Mitsui, Visa, or LINE Pay. In these cases, you will know that your payment was not eligible if you do not receive Points.

To go along with the consumption tax rate increase that went into effect in October 2019, the Japanese government has initiated a program offering point rebates for cashless payments made at participating merchants until June 30, 2020. This measure is meant to help offset any decrease in demand, accelerate the use of cashless payment methods, and improve consumer convenience.

When you use LINE Pay, you'll get 5% back in Points for payments made at participating small and mid-size merchants, and 2% back for payments made at franchise stores.
Note: For information on the rebate rates for each merchant, see their in-store posters or notices.

Points are also issued for LINE POINT CLUB, so you can get a total of up to 8% back in rebates.

For online/card payments with a Visa LINE Pay credit card or iD payments, you'll receive discounts for purchases made from the following month instead of receiving Points.

If you make payments with a LINE Pay card or Google Pay, your Points for them will be issued together at a later date.

Making payments with your LINE Pay Bonus
Your LINE Pay Bonus can be used for:

If you have a LINE Pay Bonus when you make a payment, it will be used before your regular balance.

Example: Making a payment for JPY 1,000
If you have a LINE Pay Bonus equivalent to JPY 500 and a LINE Pay balance of JPY 1,000, your LINE Pay Bonus of JPY 500 and JPY 500 from your LINE Pay balance will be spent.
Note: 
- You cannot specify how much of your LINE Pay Bonus to use.
- If you use LINE Points together with your LINE Pay Bonus, your Points will be used first.

Sending LINE Pay Bonuses to friends
To send LINE Pay Bonuses to friends, go to the LINE Pay main menu and tap Send Money. Specifications differ for each of the LINE Pay account types below.

LINE Cash accounts:
With this account type, you can only send LINE Pay Bonuses (and not money from your LINE Pay balance).

LINE Money accounts:
You can prioritize the use of your LINE Pay balance to send money with this type of account. However, you cannot specify how much money from your LINE Pay balance or LINE Pay Bonus to send.

“LINE Cash”和“LINE Money”都是什么? toggle

There are two types of LINE Pay accounts: LINE Cash and LINE Money. The features available depend on which account type you have.
Note: You can also make payments using LINE Pay without signing up for an account. For details, see this Help article.

LINE Cash account
When you sign up for LINE Pay, you get a LINE Cash account. With this account type, you can make purchases using your LINE Pay balance (once you've added money to it) or a registered credit card. You can also have a LINE Pay card issued, which can be used for making payments at JCB merchants.

A LINE Cash account also lets you:
• Request money from friends on LINE
• Request to split bills with friends on LINE
Note: You can only send requests with a LINE Cash account, and you cannot send money or pay split bills yourself.

LINE Money account
When you verify your identity with LINE Pay, your LINE Cash account becomes a LINE Money account.

In addition to the features of a LINE Cash account, a LINE Money account lets you:
• Send money to friends on LINE
• Make withdrawals from your LINE Pay balance
• Make wire transfers

To use LINE Money, you need to first verify your identity.

From the LINE Pay main menu, tap Settings > Identity verification and choose one of the verification methods listed below.
Note: 
- If you haven't set a passcode, you'll need to set one after agreeing to the Terms of Use.
- Your request to verify your identity will be canceled if you unsuccessfully try to transfer your LINE account (e.g. after changing devices).

• Bank account verification
Verify your identity by linking your bank account to LINE Pay. See this Help article for details.

• Verify your identity online
Use any of the acceptable forms of ID mentioned below and follow the on-screen instructions to verify your identity.
Note:
- This option may not be available on some devices.
- You will need to take a photo of the side of your ID (laid flat). Refer to the video below for instructions on how to do so.


Use any of the following photo IDs when verifying your identity online:
- Driver's license
- 運転経歴証明書 (driving history certificate)
- Japanese passport
Note: Japanese passports without the "Information on Bearer" page are not accepted.
- Individual Number (My Number) card
Note: Individual Number notification cards are not accepted.
- Residence card
- Special permanent resident certificate

Once you've completed verifying your identity with the "Verify Your Identity Online" method, you'll receive a notification from the LINE Pay identity verification account and you'll be able to send money and use other LINE Money services.
Note: You need to use LINE version 9.6.5 or later (iOS) to verify your identity with this option.

Important: As of February 14, 2020, we are no longer accepting identity verification applications via postcard.

To delete your LINE Pay account: 
1. Go to LINE Pay > Settings > Delete account > Delete account.
2. Tap OK on the confirmation screen.

Important: Deleting your LINE Pay account will erase your account activity details, LINE Pay balance, and all of your other account information.

You will not be able to delete your account right away if:
• You've signed up for any LINE Pay services.
Before deleting your LINE Pay account, you need to delete/unlink the following services.
Note: Select a service for the steps to delete/unlink it. (These Help articles are only available in Japanese.)


• You still have incomplete transactions.
If you've sent money to LINE friends or made wire transfers, you cannot delete your LINE Pay account until all your transactions are complete. From the LINE Pay main menu, tap Send Money > Transfer history and make sure there are no pending transactions, then delete your LINE Pay account.

• Your LINE Pay account has been suspended.
Reactivate your LINE Pay account by following the steps in this Help article, then delete it.

• You have a LINE Pay balance of more than JPY 220.
Forfeit or withdraw your balance to a bank account, then delete your LINE Pay account.
Note:
- If you have a LINE Cash account, you can withdraw your balance after changing to a LINE Money account.
- Please understand that if you forfeit your balance, you will not be able to withdraw it after deleting your account.

• All of your payment transactions have not been finalized.
You cannot delete your LINE Pay account until all of your LINE Pay transactions (e.g. payments made with My Code or your LINE Pay card) are finalized.
Note: LINE Pay card transactions can take up to two months to be finalized from the time money is subtracted or refunded.

From the LINE Pay main menu, choose History and make sure that "Transaction Complete" appears for every transaction, then delete your LINE Pay account.
Note: Tap a transaction to check when it was made and completed, along with other details.

You cannot delete your LINE Pay account yourself if:
• You transferred your LINE account to an OS that is not supported by LINE Pay.
LINE Pay is not supported on OSes other than iOS and Android (e.g. Windows Phone).

• You transferred your LINE account using a phone number from a different country.

In these cases, please contact LINE Pay Customer Care and we will delete your LINE Pay account for you.
Note: If you have more than JPY 220 left in your LINE Pay balance, we will transfer your remaining balance to your registered bank account.

If you've forgotten your passcode, you can reset it by following the steps below after updating the LINE app to the latest version. 

1. Tap Forgot your passcode? under the passcode input box.
2. Follow the onscreen guidance to reset your passcode.
Note: The methods available to verify your identity will differ depending on the status of your registration.

Verifying your identity with your registered LINE Pay information:
You can use the following methods to verify your identity. Tap the verification method you want to use and enter the required information in the verification form.

• Registered credit card or LINE Pay card
Note: You need to wait 24 hours after registering a credit card as your payment method.
• Registered bank account
Note: If you're verifying your identity with a Japan Post Bank (ゆうちょ銀行) account, you need to enter the branch code (three digits) and the account number (seven digits) in the verification form. For more information, see this website (only available in Japanese).

If your LINE Pay account is restricted for entering the wrong information multiple times when verifying your identity:
Your account will be restricted if you enter the wrong information five times. If this happens, you will not be able to reactivate your account yourself, so please contact LINE Pay Customer Care.

If the screen to delete your LINE Pay account appears instead of the Forgot your passcode? option:
For security reasons, you will not be able to reset your passcode if the information required to verify your identity wasn't registered on LINE Pay. Tap Delete account to delete your LINE Pay account and then sign up for a new one.
Note:
- Deleting your LINE Pay account will erase all of your account information, such as your purchase history.
- Deleting your LINE Pay account will not affect your LINE account or Points.

If you want to continue using your LINE Pay account without deleting it, please contact LINE Pay Customer Care.

If you do not know or cannot use your registered phone number:
After updating the LINE app to the latest version, register a different phone number on LINE that can receive text messages.

If you cannot reset your passcode after following the onscreen guidance:

If you're unable to access your LINE Pay account, please refer to the section below on how to reactivate it which applies to your situation.

The account was deactivated upon your request
You can reactivate it on your smartphone. To reactivate your account, start LINE Pay and enter your LINE Pay passcode on the passcode input screen. 

If you have forgotten your LINE Pay account passcode, the steps to set a new one differ depending on your registered country (the country code of the phone number you registered to your LINE account). After confirming your country code, please refer to the following:

• If your registered country is Japan, see this article.
• If your registered country is Taiwan, see this article.
• For all other countries, see this article.

If you haven't set a LINE Pay passcode, you won't be able to reactivate your account yourself. In this case, please contact us here.

You transferred your LINE account using a phone number from a different country
When you transfer your LINE account (using your registered email address or linked Facebook account), use of your LINE Pay account will be restricted if you verify your LINE account with a phone number from a country different from the one it was previously verified with. This is in order to protect your account's payment information. If your LINE Pay account is restricted, you can delete it yourself, or use your existing LINE Pay account again.

• Deleting your LINE Pay account
When you tap Reset account from the lockout screen, all of the information from the LINE Pay account you had been using until now will be deleted, and you can register again.

• Using the LINE Pay account you were using before
Reinstall the LINE app, then log in using the same phone number you used for verification before. After verifying your account, start LINE and tap the Wallet tab > LINE Pay to use your LINE Pay account again.
Important:
- Before uninstalling the LINE app, we recommend backing up your chat history.
- For more information on verifying your account after reinstalling LINE, see this Help article.

• If you cannot reset your account and are having issues using it

When transferring your LINE account to a new device, if you accidentally created a new account or deleted your account, you will not be able to access your LINE Pay account. You will also be unable to use your LINE Pay account if you cancel your registered email address from your LINE account.

If you transferred your LINE account without setting a LINE Pay passcode, your LINE Pay account will be deactivated as a security measure. If you'd like to use LINE Pay again, please contact us here.

If you forgot your passcode or are locked out of your account, see here.

If you enter the wrong card or bank account information more than five times when trying to reset your passcode, your LINE Pay account will be restricted and you will be unable to reactivate it yourself. In this case please contact us here.

In the event you changed or repaired your device, you can continue using LINE Pay.

Select Log in after reinstalling the LINE app on your new device to transfer your LINE account. Your LINE Pay information will also be transferred automatically.

Please be aware that you will not be able to use LINE Pay after transferring your account in the following cases. If any of the following apply to your situation, please delete your LINE Pay account before changing devices.

• You are transferring your account to a device with an OS that does not support LINE Pay.
Note: Other than iOS and Android, OSes such as BlackBerry, Nokia, and Windows Phone are not supported.

• You are transferring your account to a device that does not support LINE Pay.
Note: Other than a smartphone, devices such as tablets are not supported.

• You are transferring your account with a phone number that was issued from another country.

You won't be able to transfer your LINE Pay account if you aren't able to transfer your LINE account. To use LINE Pay on your new LINE account, you'll need to sign up for the service with a new account.

After you contact us from the form above, we'll assist you with the documents required for us to transfer your balance after we verify your phone number and other information.

To add money to LINE Pay from a bank account, you need to apply to link each bank account that you want to use for the linked bank account service.

To add money from a bank account, follow the steps below.
Note: If you haven't set a LINE Pay passcode, you need to set one after agreeing to the Terms of Use.

1. From the LINE Pay main menu, tap Add Money > Bank Account.
2. Select the bank account that you want to use.
3. Enter an amount and tap Add Money.
4. Enter your LINE Pay passcode.

If you don't have sufficient funds in your bank account, the money will fail to be added and a message will appear in Notifications (the bell icon) at the top left of the LINE Pay main menu.

As an enhanced security measure, you may be asked to upload documents for identity verification when linking your bank account. In this case, a screen will appear for you to upload a photo of one of the following forms of ID: 
• Driver's license
• 運転経歴証明書 (driving history certificate)
• Individual Number ("My Number") card
Note: Individual Number notification cards are not accepted.
• Health insurance card
• Basic resident registration card (with a photo)
• Residence card
• Special permanent resident certificate

It may take up to a week for your identity verification to be approved. Please understand that you cannot add money from your bank account until this verification has been completed.

You can check the banking institutions that can currently be linked to add money to a LINE Pay account here. (This link can only be viewed from a smartphone.) More banks are being added at this time.

Important: Users that linked a Japan Post bank account before 12 pm on September 27, 2017 will not have their identities verified. Only users that linked their Japan Post bank accounts after 6 pm on September 27 will have their identities verified.

If you don't have sufficient funds in your bank account, the money will fail to be added and a message will appear under Notifications (the bell icon at the top left of the LINE Pay main menu).

Linking a bank account will also complete the identity verification process at the same time, automatically converting your LINE Cash account to a LINE Money account, which will give you access to a wide range of features.
Note: Identity verification was not required for users that linked a Japan Post bank account before 12 pm on September 27, 2017. Only users that link Japan Post bank accounts after 6 pm on September 27 need to verify their identities.

You can add up to JPY 299,000 to your LINE Pay balance at a time in increments of JPY 1,000 at any FamilyMart convenience store from a FamiPort terminal.

To add money: 
1. Tap Add Money in the LINE Pay main menu.
2. Select FamiPort, enter your name and the amount you want to add, then tap Add Money.
3. Once a Registration No. and Reservation No. are generated, tap OK.
Note:
- You must add the money within 30 minutes.
- If you have not configured a LINE Pay passcode, you must do so after entering your name and the amount.
4. After submitting a request to add money, you'll receive a notification on LINE from the LINE ウォレット (LINE Wallet) official account with your reservation and registration numbers.
5. Print out a payment slip from a FamiPort terminal at a FamilyMart.
Note: For information on how to use FamiPorts, please see here. (This link is only available in Japanese.)
6. Show the payment slip at the register and pay.

Please note that you cannot use a LINE prepaid card to add money to your LINE Pay account.

JPY 1 will be covered by LINE Pay if you add one of the amounts below, so the amount you pay will be JPY 1 less than the amount you choose to add.(For example, if you add JPY 2,000, you'll be asked to pay JPY 1,999.)

JPY 2,000
JPY 5,000
JPY 10,000
JPY 30,000
JPY 100,000

It may take some time for the added amount to appear in your LINE Pay balance.

You can withdraw your LINE Pay balance after verifying your identity and converting to a LINE Money account.
Note:
- Your LINE Pay Bonus included in your LINE Pay balance cannot be withdrawn.
- Your balance can only be withdrawn to a bank account registered with the same name as your LINE Pay account.

When registering your bank account, enter the account holder name in Katakana.
Note: You can link an account from any financial institution in Japan.

To withdraw your LINE Pay balance, follow the steps below.
Note: For withdrawing money from a Seven Bank ATM, please see this Help article.

1. From the LINE Pay main menu, tap Settings > Withdrawals.
2. Tap the account you want to send money to, or tap Add Bank Account to register a new account.
3. Enter the amount you want to withdraw and tap Withdraw Money.
4. Enter your LINE Pay passcode.

You may not be able to withdraw from LINE Pay if it's after the bank's business hours or if their systems are undergoing maintenance.

Also, it may take some time for the amount withdrawn from your LINE Pay balance to appear in your bank account. If the deposit does not appear in your bank account within 24 hours of withdrawing it, please contact LINE Pay Customer Care from this Inquiry Form.

If you can't link a bank account to LINE Pay, it may be due to one of the following reasons.

• Your LINE Pay account information and your bank account information don't match.
If your information on LINE Pay is different from the information registered to your bank account, update your information on LINE Pay.

 • The bank account is linked to another LINE Pay account.
The same bank account cannot be linked to more than one LINE Pay account. If you want to link your bank account to a different LINE Pay account, contact us here.

Also, due to enhanced security on LINE Pay, you may be asked to submit documents for identity verification or verify your identity with your smartphone. In either of these cases, follow the onscreen guidance to complete the verification process.

If you’re having issues adding money from your bank account, it may be because:

• You tried during a time when money cannot be added.
• The registration process for your bank account had not yet been completed. (With some banks, it can take several business days until you can add money after registering an account.)
Note: Due to enhanced security, you may be asked to upload documents for identity verification when linking a bank. In this case, you will not be able to add money until the documents have been approved. For details please see this Help article.
• You tried to add more than the limit for 1 day. (You can add up to JPY 100,000 from a bank account within a 24-hour period.)
• Your bank cannot be used with LINE Pay.

Notice: New registrations are currently not being accepted for Hiroshima Bank. We'll make an announcement when the time for accepting new registrations again is decided.

There may also be a time lag of several minutes until your money is added. After adding money, make sure you're using a strong internet connection and check to see if the money was transferred after waiting a short time.

Note:

To add money:
1. Use any of the following steps to go to the QR code reader screen:
- Tap "+" from the LINE Pay main menu.
- Tap Add Money > SevenBank ATM > Next.
- Tap SevenBank ATM > Add Money.
2. From the Seven Bank ATM, select スマートフォン出金⋅入金 (smartphone withdraw/deposit) > the 入金 (deposit) option.
3. Scan the QR code that appears on the ATM to be shown a company number.
4. Enter the company number on the Seven Bank ATM.
5. Put the cash into the ATM.

Once you've finished adding money, the amount will show up in your LINE Pay balance in real time.
Important: After a transaction has been completed, it cannot be canceled.

You can add money to your LINE Pay balance from a ticket machine at any station on a Tokyu Railways line.
Note:
- The machines only accept paper bills.
- You can add money in increments of JPY 1,000. The minimum you can add each time is JPY 1,000.
- There are different limits set for LINE Money and Cash accounts. See this page for details.

To add money:
1. From the main menu screen on the ticket machine, tap Use QR code or barcode > Add credit to your smartphone payment app.
2. Once the QR code appears, scan it by starting LINE and tapping the Wallet tab > the code reader to the right of your balance at the top of the screen.
3. After your smartphone screen changes, tap Proceed to Payment on the ticket machine screen.
4. Insert the amount you want to add in paper bills into the ticket machine.
5. Tap Add credit on the ticket machine.
6. If you chose to have a transaction statement issued, be sure to take your receipt.

After you've added money, your LINE Pay balance will be updated in real time.
Important: Once a transaction has been completed, it cannot be canceled.

If you have a LINE Money account, you can use your LINE Pay account to withdraw money.

You will not be able to use this feature if you have a LINE Cash account. By converting your account to a LINE Money account, you can make withdrawals and have access to many other features. Please see this Help article for details.

To withdraw money from a Seven Bank ATM, follow the steps below:

1. Use either of the following steps to go to the QR code reader screen:
- From the LINE Pay main menu, tap Settings > Withdrawals > Seven Bank ATM.
- Tap SevenBank ATM > Withdraw Money.
2. From the Seven Bank ATM, select スマートフォン出金⋅入金 (smartphone withdraw/deposit).
3. Scan the QR code on the Seven Bank ATM screen, then enter your LINE Pay passcode.
Note: The company number and a one-time password (OTP) will appear on your smartphone screen.
4. Enter the company number and OTP on the Seven Bank ATM.
5. Enter an amount between JPY 1,000 and JPY 10,000 to withdraw.
