You can only make wire transfers if you have a LINE Money account.
Note: If you have a LINE Cash account and want to use this feature, you need to verify your identity on LINE Pay and change to a LINE Money account.
To make a wire transfer, follow the steps below for your situation.
If you're designating a bank:
1. From the LINE Pay main menu, tap Send Money.
2. Under "Transfer to bank account," tap Send money.
3. At the top of the screen, tap the Account number tab.
4. Enter the name registered to the recipient’s account (in full-width katakana characters), as well as the bank name, account type, account number, and your name, then tap Next.
5. Enter the amount you want to transfer, then tap Send money.
6. Tap OK.
7. Enter your passcode.
8. Tap Close.
If the recipient is designating a bank:
1. From the LINE Pay main menu, tap Send Money.
2. Under "Transfer to bank account," tap Send money.
3. At the top of the screen, tap the Text message/Email tab.
4. Enter the recipient's account name (in full-width katakana characters), phone number or email address, and your name, then tap Next.
5. Enter the amount you want to transfer, then tap Send money.
6. Tap OK.
7. Enter your passcode.
8. Tap Close.
The recipient will receive a text message from the phone number "03-4405-6034" or an email from the address "linepay_do_not_reply@line.me".
The recipient can designate a bank after getting this message and completing one-time password authentication via text message or email.
Note: If one-time password authentication fails multiple times, the wire transfer will be canceled.
To check the history or status of your wire transfers:
1. From the LINE Pay main menu, tap Send Money.
2. Tap Transfer history.
Note:
- You need to update LINE to version 10.2 or later to make wire transfers.
- Wire transfers can also be made from the stand-alone LINE Pay app.
