Apple Pay is a service that lets you set up a card on your iPhone or Apple Watch so you make secure payments online or at stores by holding your phone or watch over a terminal.

Note: You can add your Visa LINE Pay credit card or Visa LINE Pay prepaid card to Apple Pay.

The first card you add to Wallet on your iOS device becomes your default card. To reset or confirm your default card, follow the steps below.

1. On your device, tap Settings > Wallet & Apple Pay.

2. Under TRANSACTION DEFAULTS, tap Default Card.

3. Select the card you want to make your default card.

To confirm the settings for your Apple Watch, tap Wallet & Apple Pay in the Watch app on your iPhone.

If you can't add your card to Apple Pay (e.g. because you see an error), please make sure that:

• The card you're trying to add wasn't suspended or canceled.

• You're signed in to iCloud.

• You're using the latest version of the LINE app.

• You're using Apple Pay on a device that supports the service.

Note: See this Apple support page for a list of devices compatible with Apple Pay.

• You're adding a valid Visa LINE Pay prepaid card from the LINE app that you used to have it issued.

Note: For the steps to add your card to Apple Pay, see this Help article.

• You've removed any previously deleted Visa LINE Pay prepaid card from the Wallet app.

Note: JCB brand LINE Pay cards cannot be added.

If you want to use your card with your Apple Watch, you need to add your card to your watch from the LINE app first, and then add the card on your iPhone.

Also, see this Apple support page if you can't add your card to Wallet for use with Apple Pay.

You can use Apple Pay by adding a Visa LINE Pay credit card or a Visa LINE Pay prepaid card.

Note: Your device must support Apple Pay.

Available payment methods

• iD payments

• Visa contactless payments

• Online payments at stores where Apple Pay is accepted

When paying at a physical store, tell the cashier that you want to make an iD payment or a Visa contactless payment, then hold your Apple Pay-compatible device over the scanning terminal.

Note: The "iD" logo and "iD Prepaid" are registered trademarks of NTT DOCOMO, INC.

- Depending on the app or website, you may not be able to use a Visa brand card. Check each app or website for details.

- You may not be able to use your Visa LINE Pay prepaid card at vending machines, gas stations, or some other merchants. For more information, see here. (Only available in Japanese.)

If you added a Visa LINE Pay credit card to Apple Pay, make sure that:

• There are no issues with your card.

• The device you set your card on supports Apple Pay.

If you added a Visa LINE Pay prepaid card to Apple Pay, make sure that:

• There are no issues with your card.

• The device you set your card on supports Apple Pay.

• You aren't trying to use Apply Pay to make payments at any of the following:

- Vending machines

- Gas stations

- Phone service providers

- Some hotels

- Manned highway tollbooths

Note: Your payment may not be accepted by some of these merchants.

Once you register your Apple ID to your new device, the card you added to Apple Pay will be reflected on that device.

Note:

- In some cases, you may need to add your card again or enter your security code.

- If you change to an Android device, you will not be able to use Apple Pay.

If you added a Visa LINE Pay credit card:

You can continue to use Apple Pay, but you will not be eligible to receive Point rewards without a LINE Pay account.

If you added a Visa LINE Pay prepaid card:

You will no longer be able to use Apple Pay, since your card will be deleted along with your LINE Pay account.
