If a chat becomes inaccessible for the following reasons, the albums that were created in the relevant chat will be deleted after being stored for a certain period of time.
• Everyone in the chat left
• Everyone in the chat deleted their LINE accounts

1. Tap at the top of a chat > Albums.
2. Tap at the bottom right of the screen.
Note: If you're creating the first album in the chat, you can also tap Create album.
3. Select the items you want to save and tap Next.
4. Enter an album name and tap Create.
Note:
- You can enter up to 50 characters for an album name.
- If you don't enter an album name, the name will be the date the album was created by default.
- The same album name cannot be used more than once in the same chat.
Adding items to albums
Useful info
The number next to the profile icons shows the number of members who have posted items in the album. Tap this number to see the items each member added.
To add items from your device to an album:
1. Tap
at the top of a chat > Albums.
2. Tap at the bottom right of an album > Add items, or tap the album you want to add items to > at the bottom right of the screen.
3. Select the items you want to add, then tap Next > Add.
To add items sent in a chat to an album:
1. Tap and hold an item, then tap Album.
2. Select the items you want to add, then tap Add.
3. Select or create an album to save the items in, then tap Add or Create.
Note: You can add up to 20 photos at one time.
You can post up to:
• 100 albums per chat.
• 1,000 photos per album.
• 300 photos per upload.
Note:
- There is a monthly limit to the number of photos that can be uploaded per user. This limit is lifted at 12:00 am (UTC+9) on the first of the following month.
- This limit was implemented on September 1, 2023 (UTC+9).
Renaming albums
1. Tap at the top of a chat > Albums.
2. Tap at the bottom right of the album you want to rename, or tap the album > at the top right of the screen.
3. Tap Rename album.
4. Enter an album name and tap Rename.

- You can enter up to 50 characters for an album name.
- The same album name cannot be used more than once in the same chat.

Saving entire albums of items
1. Tap at the top of a chat > Albums.
2. Select the album you want to save, then tap at the top right of the screen.
3. Tap Download album.

1. Tap at the top of the chat screen > Albums.
2. Select the album, then tap the item you want to save.
3. Tap
at the bottom right of the screen.
Deleting albums and their items

Albums and photos cannot be restored once deleted.
Deleting albums
1. Tap at the top of a chat > Albums.
2. Tap at the bottom right of the album you want to delete > Deletealbum > Delete.
Deleting items in an album
1. Tap at the top of a chat > Albums.
2. Select the album, then tap the item you want to delete.
3. Tap at the top right of the screen > Delete item > Delete.
Note: Carefully consider whether to delete items, since they cannot be restored once you delete them.
Sharing albums or individual items from albums
Sharing albums
You can share an album again in the chat it was created in.
To share an album again in the chat it was created in:
1. Tap
at the top of the chat > Albums.
2. Tap
at the bottom right of the album you want to share.
3. Tap Share album > Share.
Sharing album items
You can share items saved in albums with friends or groups.
To share items saved in an album:
1. Tap
at the top of a chat > Albums.
2. Select the album you want to share from, then tap at the top right of the screen > Select items.
3. Select the items you want to share, then tap / at the bottom of the screen.
4. Choose a friend or group and tap Share, or select one of the other sharing options.
You can also send a message with your items, if you're sharing with a friend or group. After you selected the friend/group you want to share with, just enter your message in the text box at the bottom of the screen, then tap Share.
Deleting album-related chat messages
When you create an album, share it again, or add items to an existing album, a message is sent to notify everyone in the relevant chat.
If you don't want anyone in the chat to be able to see it, tap Unsend to remove the message.
Note: You can unsend messages up to 24 hours after they were sent, regardless of whether they have been read or not.
After you unsend a message, a notice will appear for everyone in the chat showing that you removed it.
Using All albums to view all of your albums at once
The All albums feature lets you check all of your albums from various chats.
The albums displayed in All albums include:
• Albums created in 1-on-1 chats with friends.
• Albums created in groups that you're a member of.
• Albums from hidden/deleted 1-on-1 and group chats.
The albums you can see in All albums will differ depending on your friend or group membership status at that time. If a friend deletes their LINE account, you'll still be able to see albums in your chat with them, but the albums will not appear in All albums. Similarly, if you're no longer a member of a group (because you left or were removed from it), the albums created in that group will not be displayed in All albums.
Also, All albums shows up to 1,000 albums from chats where photos were uploaded.
To use the All albums feature, see the steps below.
To check from the Chats screen:
Tap the Chats tab >
at the top of the screen.
To check from a chat:
1. Tap at the top of a chat > Albums.
2. Tap at the top right of the screen.
Regardless of the album, you can view all of your photos by selecting Photos. Choosing a photo and clicking See album above it will take you to the album that includes the relevant photo.
Tapping to the right of the Albums tab lets you reorder albums by Recently uploaded or Recently created.
On LINE for iOS/iPad, you can change the displayed size of albums or photos by pinching your screen to zoom in and out on the Albums and Photos tabs.
Note:
- Changing the displayed size of albums and photos changes the number of rows and columns they're displayed in.
- Changes to the displayed size of albums/photos and the displayed number of rows/columns are saved.
Hiding/unhiding all of the albums of a specific chat
To hide a chat's albums:
1. Tap the Chats tab > at the top of the screen.
2. Tap an album from the chat with albums you want to hide >
at the top right of the screen > Hide from "All albums" > Hide.
To unhide a chat's albums:
1. Tap the Home tab >
> Albums > Hidden albums. Note:Tap here to go to Albums from your smartphone.
2. Tap Unhide next to the chat with albums you want to unhide > Unhide.
