If you receive spam messages or posts, you can tell LINE about the situation by using the report feature. We will check the details of your report and consider any needed measures in response to them.
Please use this feature to report any harassment you encounter.
Attention
- The other user will not be informed that you reported them.
- The details of the report will include the reported message and messages exchanged before and after it.
- Make sure you include the problematic statement or post when you send a report.

Reporting messages from chats
- Tap and hold the message you want to report.
Note: The selected message will be sent along with the nine surrounding messages.
- Tap Report.
- Select your reason for reporting the message, then tap Agree & send.
- Choose whether or not to block the sender.
iPad/Android
- Tap and hold the message you want to report.

Reporting friends from their profiles
You can use this feature on devices aside from LINE for Windows and Mac sub devices.
Users in Japan and Thailand
- Go to the profile screen of the friend you want to report and tap
at the top right of the screen. - Tap Report.
- Select your reason for reporting them, then tap Agree & send.
Users outside Japan or Thailand
- Go to the profile screen of the friend you want to report and tap
at the top right of the screen. - Select your reason for reporting them, then tap Agree & send or Acknowledge and send.
Reporting participants from LINE meetings
- Tap and hold the participant you want to report, then tap Report.
- Select your reason for reporting them, then tap Report.
- Choose whether or not to remove the participant you reported.
iPad/Android
- Tap and hold the participant you want to report, then tap Report.
- Select your reason for reporting them, then tap Report.
- Choose whether or not to remove the participant you reported.
Windows/Mac
- Move your cursor over to the image of the participant you want to report, right-click it, then select Report.

What actions will be taken on LINE after I make a report?
We will look into the details of your report. If we determine that our Terms of Use were violated, we will take action (e.g. deleting the infringing post, suspending the relevant account). If we're unable to confirm a violation, we will not take any action.
For security reasons, we are unable to inform you about the details of our actions or the results of our investigation.

Why didn't you take action even though I reported someone multiple times?
Reporting someone may not lead to us taking action if we determine that their activity hasn't violated our Terms of Use.
Will the other user find out that I reported them?
The other user will not be informed that you reported them with the report feature.
