For the basics of using albums, see below.

Note: You cannot use albums in multi-person chats. For information on how to turn a multi-person chat into a group, see Creating a group from a multi-person chat.

Creating albums

Creating albums from the chat menu

1. Click the menu icon at the top of a chat > Albums.
2. Click + Create album. 3. Enter a name for the album and click "+".
4. Select the items to add to the album and click Open.
5. Click Create.

Creating albums from items sent in chats

1. Right click (control+click on Mac) the item in a chat that you want to add to an album.
2. Click Add to album > Create album.
3. Enter a name for the album and click Create.
Note: If there's an item you didn't want to add to the album, move your mouse cursor over the item and click the "X" at its top right to remove it.

You can enter up to 50 characters for an album name.
Note:
- If you don't enter an album name, the name will be the date the album was created by default.
- The same album name cannot be used more than once in the same chat.

You can see all of the albums that have been created by using the All albums feature.

Adding items to albums

Selecting albums to add items

1. Click the menu icon at the top of a chat > Albums.
2. Click the menu icon to the right of the album name > Add items.
3. Select the items to add to the album and click Open > Add.

Adding items sent in chats

1. Right click (control+click on Mac) the item in a chat that you want to add to an album.
2. Click Add to album > the album you want to add the item to.
3. Click Add.
Note: If there's an item you didn't want to add to the album, move your mouse cursor over the item and click the "X" at its top right to remove it.

You can post up to:
• 100 albums per chat.
• 1,000 photos per album.
• 300 photos per upload.

Note:
- There is a monthly limit to the number of photos that can be uploaded per user. This limit is lifted at 12 am (UTC+9) on the first of the following month.
- This limit was implemented on September 1, 2023 (UTC+9).

Renaming albums

To rename an album:

1. Click the menu icon at the top of a chat > Albums.

2. Click the menu icon to the right of the album name > Rename album.

3. Enter a name for the album and click Save.

Note:

- You can enter up to 50 characters for an album name.

- The same album name cannot be used more than once in the same chat.

Saving albums or individual items from albums

Saving entire albums of items

1. Click the menu icon at the top of a chat > Albums.
2. Click the album you want to save.
3. Click Save all.
4. Select a folder to save the album to, then click Select Folder or Open.

Saving individual items from albums

1. Click the menu icon at the top of a chat > Albums.
2. Click the album you want to save items from.
3. Hover over the item you want to save with your cursor and click the download icon.
Note: You can also select multiple items by clicking the check icon at the top right of each item.
4. Select a folder to save the items to and click Save.

Deleting items from albums

To delete items from an album:

1. Click the menu icon at the top of a chat > Albums.

2. Click the item you want to delete.

3. Click the menu icon at the top of the screen > Delete > Delete.

Note: Items cannot be restored from an album once deleted.

Deleting albums

To delete an album:

1. Click the menu icon at the top of a chat > Albums.

2. Click the menu icon to the right of the album name > Delete album.

3. Click OK.

Note: Albums cannot be restored once deleted.

Sharing album items

You can share items saved in albums with friends or groups.
1. Click the menu icon at the top of a chat > Albums.
2. Click an album.
3. Select the items you want to share, then click Share at the top of the screen.
4. Select who you want to send the items to, then click Share.

Deleting album-related chat messages

When you create an album or add items to an existing album, a message is sent to notify everyone in the relevant chat.

If you don't want anyone in the chat to be able to see one of these messages, you can delete it. To do so, right click (control+click on Mac) the message, then click Unsend > Unsend.

Note: You can unsend messages up to 24 hours after they were sent, regardless of whether they have been read or not.

The All albums feature lets you check all of your albums from various chats. The albums displayed include:

• Albums created in one-on-one chats with friends.

• Albums created in groups that you're a member of.

• Albums from hidden/deleted one-on-one and group chats.

The albums you can see in All albums will differ depending on your friend or group membership status at that time. If a friend deletes their LINE account, you'll still be able to see albums in your chat with them, but the albums will not appear in All albums. Similarly, if you're no longer a member of a group (because you left or were removed from it), the albums created in that group will not be displayed in All albums.

Also, All albums shows up to 1,000 albums from chats where photos were uploaded.

To use the All albums feature:

1. Click the menu icon at the top of a chat > Albums.

2. Click All albums (the folder icon).

Regardless of the album, you can view all of your photos by selecting Photos. Choosing a photo and clicking See album under it will take you to the album that includes the relevant photo.

Clicking the reorder icon to the right of Albums lets you reorder albums by Last updated or Last created.
