How are the LINE Points that are issued calculated? toggle
General payments: The cashback rate for Points can be up to 3% (until December 31, 2017)
• The cashback rate for general payments is 2% (this excludes payments such as those made for taxes, tuition, public utility fees, cash advance services, payments made in installments, gambling, convenience stores, and PX Mart).
• Payments made in the first year at each merchant receive an additional 1% cashback rate (this excludes payments such as those for cash advance services, payments made in installments, and gambling).

Payments made for transportation: Receive an additional 1% cashback rate for the first year (until December 31, 2017)
• Make payments for public transportation with the amount you charge on an iPASS (this excludes the THSR PASS).
• If you have less than 1 cashback LINE Point, the issued Points will be rounded up or down when calculated.
E.g. If you make a payment of TWD 75 with a LINE Pay card, TWD 75 x 2% = 1.5 Points. In this case, when your points are actually issued they will be rounded up to 2 Points.

LINE Points will be issued to your LINE account within about 5 business days after a payment is made (based on when the store actually charges the payment).

Note:
- As you are eligible to receive LINE Points after your LINE Pay card has been linked to your LINE Pay account, make sure to complete linking your card before you start making payments.
- The above information is based on the notice for CTBC Bank's credit card and bank account 2% point back promotion.

Why did I get a notification SMS for completing a payment when I linked a LINE Pay card? toggle
When you link a LINE Pay card (debit card or sub/main credit cards), a confirmation payment is made.

Please be assured that this confirmation payment is done in order to check the validity of your LINE Pay card and you will not incur any actual charges.

Important:
- If a message saying the card cannot be used or to try a different card appears when linking a debit card, it is possible that the card’s online payment feature is turned OFF. In this case, please contact CTBC Bank.
- In order for the confirmation payment to be completed when you link a debit card, you need to have a positive balance on the relevant bank account. Before linking a debit card, please make sure the relevant bank account has a positive balance.
