Important: The
contents of this article only apply to LINE accounts created with LINE versions earlier than 13.11.0 if you're
not using LINE in Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, or Thailand.
Checking your phone number
You can check the phone number registered to your LINE account from the Settings screen.
- On your main
device, tap the Home tab >
> Account. - Check the number displayed next to Phone number.
Changing your phone number
You can change the phone number registered to LINE from your main device by verifying
your LINE account with the new phone number.
You can verify your phone number via text message or phone call.
Be advised
- With LINE, you can only register (verify) one LINE account with one mobile phone number.
- Registering a phone number that was already registered to another LINE account may make the original LINE account associated with that phone number inaccessible.
- For security reasons, you cannot change your phone number for 24 hours after transferring your LINE account.
Changing your phone number via text message
- On your main
device, tap the Home tab >
> Account. - Tap Phone number.
- Enter your phone number and tap Next.
- Enter the verification code you received via text message.
Changing your phone number via phone call
If you can't receive text messages, you can change your phone number with the Call me instead option.
Note: The Call me instead option is only available in some countries.

device, tap the Home tab >
> Account. - Tap Phone number.
- Enter your phone number and tap Next.
- Tap Call me instead at the bottom of the verification code input screen.
- Tap Continue.
- After receiving the automated phone call, enter the verification code you were given.
