LINE accounts created on your main device can also be
used on a PC.
You need to download the LINE for PC app or LINE for Chrome on your PC, and log in to your
LINE account.
Be advised
- You cannot create a new LINE account from LINE for PC.
- If you're using a PC that's shared with multiple people, we recommend logging out of LINE after your session.
Downloading LINE for PC
Download LINE for Windows or Mac from
LINE's official website based on your PC's OS.
To use LINE on a web browser, you can download LINE for Chrome if you're using the Google Chrome browser.

Logging in to LINE for PC
You can log in to LINE for PC using one of the three methods below.
Logging in with a QR code
Scan the QR code displayed on LINE for PC using the LINE app on your main device.
- Open LINE for PC.
- Start the QR code reader in LINE on your main device.
- Scan the QR code that appears on LINE for PC.
- On your main device, tap Log in.
Logging in with biometric information (e.g. face, fingerprint)
Use the biometric information registered to your main device to log in.
By logging in with your biometric information, you can manage your
LINE account more securely than with using an email address and password. For more information, see
How logins with
biometric information work.
Logging in with your email address and password
Enter the email address and password registered to your LINE account to log in.
- Open LINE for PC.
- Enter your registered email address and password, then click Log in.
Useful info
- You can log in automatically without having to enter your email address and password from the next time by checking the Log me in automatically option on the login screen.
If you forget your registered email address or password, or if you haven't registered an email address, you will need to check/update your registered information from your LINE account on your main device.
If a verification code appears on your PC
A verification code may appear on your PC if you're logging in to LINE for PC for the first time or if you reinstalled LINE. In this case, verify your account using LINE on your main device.
- Open LINE on the main device your LINE account is registered to.
- Enter the verification code that appears on LINE for PC.
- Confirm that the device you are trying to log in with is correct, and check the box.
- Tap Verify.
- Be sure to enter the verification code that's displayed within three minutes.
- If the screen to enter the verification code doesn't appear on LINE on your main device, restart LINE on your main device and try logging in to LINE on your PC again.
Logging out of LINE for PC
- Open LINE for PC.
- Click
at the bottom of the main menu. - Click Log out.
