Refer to the steps below to configure your LINE notification settings.

Note: These steps and labels may differ depending on your OS version and device.

Overall LINE notification settings

iPhone

You must configure notifications both in the LINE app and on your device to receive notifications without issue.

Configuring notifications in the LINE app
  1. In the LINE app on your main device, tap the Home tab > Settings > Notifications.
  2. Turn on Notifications.
  3. Turn on or off In-app sounds, In-app vibration, or any of the other settings as needed.
Configuring notifications on your device
  1. Tap your device's Settings > Notifications.
  2. Tap LINE in your list of apps.
  3. Turn on Allow Notifications and configure each of the other settings.
Android
  1. In the LINE app on your main device, tap the Home tab > Settings > Notifications.
  2. Turn on Notifications.
  3. Tap Notification settings.
  4. Turn on All LINE notifications.
  5. Tap Message notifications.
  6. Turn on Show notifications.
  7. Turn on or off each item by tapping it.

Chat notification settings

Configuring notifications for each chat
  1. Open LINE on your main device.
  2. Tap menu icon at the top of a chat.
  3. Tap Mute or Unmute.
Configuring mention notifications

To configure notifications for the mention feature, which lets you send messages to specific members or the whole group, see the steps below.

  1. In the LINE app on your main device, tap the Home tab > Settings > Notifications.
  2. Turn on Notifications.
  3. Turn on or off Mentions.
Configuring notifications for posts in Notes

Notifications for notes are sent as push notifications and as notifications in bell icon at the top right of the Home tab.

To configure notifications for reactions and comments to posts in Notes, see the steps below.

  1. Open LINE on your main device.
  2. Tap menu icon at the top of a chat > Settings.
  3. Turn on or off Note notifications.

Notification settings by service/feature

Configuring LINE Pay notifications

You can only use this feature on your main device (typically your smartphone).

  1. Tap the Home tab > Settings > Notifications.
  2. Turn on or off LINE Pay/LINE Pay notifications.
Configuring LINE authorized app notifications

You can use this feature on devices aside from LINE for PC sub devices.

  1. In the LINE app on your main device, tap the Home tab > Settings > Notifications > Authorized apps.
  2. Select the app you want to configure notification settings for.
    Note: If the app doesn't have an on/off toggle switch, the screen for the next step will be shown.
  3. Turn on or off Messages and Notifications.
Configuring notifications for reactions in albums

You can use this feature with the latest version of LINE. (Update LINE to the latest version.)

Notifications for reactions in albums are sent as push notifications and as notifications in bell icon at the top right of the Home tab.

For the steps to configure notifications for reactions in albums, see the steps below.

Configuring notifications from Settings

  1. In the LINE app on your main device, tap the Home tab > Settings > Notifications.
  2. Turn on or off Notifications.
    Note: If the Notifications setting is turned off, all notifications, including those for reactions in albums, will be disabled.
  3. If the Notifications setting is turned on, turn on or off Album reactions.

Configuring notifications from the Home tab

You can use this feature on devices aside from LINE for PC sub devices.

Tap bell icon at the top of the Home tab > Settings, then turn on or off Album reactions.

Note: We plan to add a feature that lets you configure notifications for album reactions separately for each chat.

[Windows/Mac/Chrome] Configuring each notification method and rule

To configure each notification method (e.g. sound notification, pop-up notification) and rule, click Settings at the bottom of the main menu > Settings > Notifications and turn on or off the setting you want to configure.

If you have Do Not Disturb turned on in your Windows system settings (under Windows > Settings > System > Notifications > Do Not Disturb), it will determine what notifications you see, regardless of whether your notification style is set to Default or Windows.

Note: The name of the setting may differ depending on your OS.
