This feature lets you display yourself as a character in the LINE app. You can create Avatars for yourself and your friends.
The Avatars you create can be used as your LINE profile photo or cover photo, shared with friends, or made to appear in photos and videos using augmented reality (AR) features. You can also add Avatars to existing photos and videos.
1. Tap your icon or name at the top of the Home tab.
2. Tap Avatar > Set as profile.
3. Customize your Avatar and tap Next.
Note:
- Moving the slider in the center of the screen left or right lets you change where your Avatar is facing.
- You can also animate your Avatar with it synced to your own facial expressions by tapping the face icon at the bottom left and centering your face in the frame that appears.
4. Edit the length of the animation you want to set as your profile.
5. Tap Next > Done.
Note: If you don't want the changes you made to be shared in your story, uncheck Share to stories on the editing screen.
The Allow friends to use your Avatar setting lets you choose whether or not your friends can use your Avatar without your permission.
To configure the Allow friends to use your Avatar setting:
1. Tap your icon or name at the top of the Home tab.
2. Tap Avatar > Settings at the top right.
3. Turn ON/OFF Allow friends to use your Avatar.
Your friends will be able to use your main Avatar if Allow friends to use your Avatar is turned on.
If Allow friends to use your Avatar is turned off, your Avatar will appear in your Recommended friends' Avatars, but they won't be able to use it without your permission. In this case, if a friend wants to use your Avatar, they need to send you a request that you need to accept.
To accept a request to use your Avatar:
1. Tap your icon or name at the top of the Home tab.
2. Tap Avatar > Settings at the top right.
3. Tap Avatar requests.
4. Under Pending, tap Accept next to the friend who made the request > OK.
