Using the Chats widget on iOS toggle
To use the Chats widget on your device's home screen, follow the steps below.
Note: This iOS widget can be used on iOS 14.0 and later.
 
1. Tap and hold your device's home screen.
2. Tap the "+" that appears on the screen.
3. Tap LINE from the list of apps.
4. Choose one of the sizes below and tap Add Widget.
• Large: Displays up to four chats in the shortcut that is created
• Small: Displays one chat in the shortcut that is created
 
To edit the widget:
1. Tap and hold the widget.
2. Tap Edit Widget.
3. Select whether to display pinned chats or manually selected chats.

To delete the widget:
1. Tap and hold the widget.
2. Tap Remove Widget.
3. Tap Remove.

Reporting chats toggle
You can report spam or problematic messages and the people that send them from inside a chat.
Note: Rest assured that if you report someone, they won't be notified that you did so.

To report someone in a chat:
1. Tap the menu icon at the top of the chat screen > Other settings.
2. Tap Report.
3. Select your reason for reporting the person, then tap Agree & send.

To report spam or problematic messages:
1. Tap and hold the message you want to report.
2. Tap Report.
3. Select your reason for reporting the message, then tap Agree & send.
4. Choose whether or not to block the sender.

We will investigate the matter based on your report. If we find that the person has violated our Terms and Conditions, we will take appropriate action.

Please understand that we cannot provide details regarding the results of our investigation or any actions taken. This is in order to protect the privacy of all of our users.

I got a login notification from the LINE official account toggle
The message you received is from the official account operated by LINE Corporation.

As part of our efforts to strengthen security, a message is sent when your account is transferred or tries to log in to LINE services.

If you received a notification but don't remember logging in, check the following.

• If you can use LINE Someone else may be trying to log in using the information registered to your LINE account.

To prevent others from logging in to your account, change your password. For more information, see this Help article.

If you're still receiving messages after changing your password, change the email address registered to your LINE account. See this Help article for more information.

• If you cannot use LINE Your LINE account may have been stolen by a third party. Please contact us via the Inquiry Form.

The content of the notification message will differ depending on what your account is trying to do. For more information, see the following Help articles.

Making LINE more efficient toggle
When you use LINE regularly, cached data and data from your chats start to build up. This data can cause the app to run slowly, so we recommend deleting it on a regular basis.

To clear cached data from the LINE app: 
1. Tap the Home tab > Settings > Chats.
2. Tap Delete data.
3. Next to Cache, tap Clear.

Setting URL previews toggle
To show URL previews for links shared in chats: 
1. Tap the Home tab > Settings > Chats.
2. Turn ON the URL previews setting.

Previews will appear for links shared in chats after this setting is turned on.
Note: In order to generate URL previews, links shared in chats are also sent to LINE's servers.

Turning chat background animations on and off toggle
To turn background animations on or off:
1. Go to the Home tab and tap Settings.
2. Tap Chats and turn Background animations ON or OFF.

When you turn off background animations, seasonal event animations will no longer appear in chat rooms. This means the following animations will no longer appear:
• Animations that appear when a chat room is opened
• Animations that appear when a keyword is sent in a chat room

Setting chat wallpapers toggle
To set a chat wallpaper: 
1. Tap the menu icon at the top of the screen in a chat > Other settings.
2. Tap Chat wallpaper > Illustrations, Colors, or Your photos.
3. Tap the design or photo you want to use.
4. Check the preview screen and tap Apply.

Note: If you select a design from Illustrations or Colors, you can preview other wallpapers by swiping left or right on the Wallpaper preview screen.
