We are gradually rolling out the redesigned LINE app to provide an even better experience for our users.
Note:
- Due to the gradual rollout, the way some features are accessed may change at different times depending on your LINE account.
- This change is limited to users in Japan.
As part of this redesign, the following changes will be rolled out, starting with some LINE accounts.
LINE VOOM/Shopping
- A Shopping tab will be added to the bottom navigation menu.
- The LINE VOOM service will be moved from the bottom navigation menu and be available under Services on the Home tab.
- Some features in LINE VOOM, including camera, themes, and hashtag search, will no longer be available.
Useful info
- We have gradually begun displaying the Shopping tab to users, but the Voom tab may temporarily reappear as our preparations continue.
- We plan to gradually expand the availability of the Shopping tab again as our preparations are completed.
Chats
- A Friends tab will be added to the top of the Chats screen, and the way some features are accessed will be changed.
Useful info
- Tap See the changes to learn how to navigate the new Chats screen.
- Follow the on-screen instructions by tapping as directed.
- If you don't want to review the instructions right away, tap Later.
- Continue following the instructions until the end, or tap
at the top right of Brown, then tap Remove to exit the on-screen instructions.
If the new Chats screen is enabled for your account, you will see on-screen instructions featuring Brown, a LINE character.
