If your legal rights (e.g. copyrights, trademarks, portrait rights) have been infringed, you need to report the rights infringement. When someone is suspected of having infringed on a user's rights, the rights holder can report them via the relevant report form.

Reporting content in LINE chats

The content of LINE chats is protected by law as private communications, so we are unable to review it even if we receive a report of rights infringement. For this reason, we are unable to respond to reports of rights infringements involving the content of chats.

However, if you encounter harassment or an illegal post in a chat, you can use the reporting feature to let us know. See Reporting messages from chats for detailed steps.

Reporting LINE profiles

We are unable to respond to reports in the following cases.

  • The registered information of the LINE account engaging in problematic behavior is unknown
We need the phone number, email address, LINE ID, or QR code URL of the account in question to identify it.
  • The problematic activity cannot be confirmed on LINE
  • The issue is reported by someone other than the victim
However, parents and guardians, as well as legal representatives of the victim (lawyers, legal guardians) can report LINE profiles.

After you've confirmed the above details, please contact us via this Inquiry Form.
