Once a message is unsent or deleted, it cannot be restored.
Unsending a message is a feature that lets you remove a message from both your and the recipient's chat within 24 hours of sending it. In contrast, deleting a message differs from unsending in that it is a feature that only removes the message from your chat.

The differences between unsending and deleting a message are as follows.

Note: Content that was already deleted from a chat cannot be unsent.

All of the following content sent or received in the relevant chat
Messages, stickers, photos, videos, voice messages, URLs, contact information, location information, and files
Affected devices All devices used by you and others in the chat (including PCs and tablets) Only the device on which the action is performed
Result of action The content will be removed from the chat for both you and anyone in it. The content will be removed from the chat for you only.
Time restriction Only within 24 hours of the content being sent
Note: After 24 hours have passed, the Unsend option will no longer be shown.
At any time
Notice to other users A message saying "(Your name) unsent a message" will appear in the chat. No one will be notified.

Unsending messages 1. Tap and hold the message you sent that you want to unsend.
2. Tap Unsend > Unsend.
Note: After you unsend a message, a notice will appear for everyone in the chat showing that you removed it.

Deleting messages 1. Tap and hold the message you want to delete.
2. Tap Delete > Delete > Delete.
