Setting/changing the LINE app icon

Important: The feature to set/change the LINE app icon is only available in Japan and Thailand.

Be advised

You can use this feature with the latest version of LINE. (Update LINE to the latest version.) We plan to update LINE app icons regularly, so be sure to keep LINE up to date if you want to use the ones we add.

LYP Premium (Japan)/LINE Premium (Thailand) members can also use the app icons that appear under "Collaboration" and "Design." You can share app icons designed as collaborations with your friends by tapping

.
Note:
- On iPhone/iPad, go to Settings > App icon > circle icon with a lowercase i

, then turn on Auto-apply event icons to have them applied automatically when available.
- App icons marked as "Limited time" will automatically revert to the default icon when they expire.

To set/change the LINE app icon, follow the steps below for your device.

About main and sub devices

On your main device (typically your smartphone)

1. Tap the Home tab > Settings

> App icon.
2. Select your desired app icon.
3. Tap Apply.

On your sub device (typically your tablet)

iPad

1. Tap Settings > App icon.
2. Select your desired app icon.
3. Tap Apply.

Android

1. Tap the Home tab > Settings

> App icon.
2. Select your desired app icon.
3. Tap Apply.

Useful info

If you're using an Android device:
- A pop-up will appear after tapping Apply for certain app icons. Check the details in the pop-up and select check mark

for "I understand the above."
- The splash screen shown when you start the app will also match the app icon you set.
