If you suddenly became unable to send chat messages on LINE, it may be due to either an issue with your network connection or your use being suspended for violating our Terms of Use.

First, check your network connection. If the issue persists, check if you may have violated our Terms of Use.

Checking your network connection

If your connection is temporarily unstable, you may not be able to send messages.

If you see unstable connection icon or resend icon next to your messages, see I can't send/receive messages.

Checking if you may have violated our Terms of Use

If there are no issues with your network connection, but you cannot send messages, see the sections below.

  • Check if an error message like "This message could not be sent" or "Verification is temporarily blocked" appears.
  • Try sending messages to different recipients (e.g. other friends, groups) to see if they are received.

The following acts are included among those subject to account suspension.

Main standards that constitute violations

  • Posting content that is generally considered unacceptable, such as abusive language, obscene content, or any other obscene expressions.
  • Exchanging personal information (e.g. phone number, address, LINE ID), or continually inviting or soliciting others to meet in person.
  • Engaging in unlawful acts, such as the illegal trading of banned substances, stocks, etc.
  • Acts of planning or inviting minors to inappropriate meetings or assemblies.
  • Acts deemed to be spamming, such as sending multiple stickers or posts in a row over a short period of time.
