Notification Settings

You can configure LINE's notification settings by following the steps below.

Configuring LINE's general notification settings

1. Tap Settings > Notifications.
Note: Tap here to go to Notifications from your smartphone.
2. Turn Notifications ON.
3. Turn In-app sounds or any of the other settings ON or OFF as needed.

Configuring notifications for specific chats

1. Open a chat and tap the menu icon at the top of the screen.
2. Tap Mute or Unmute.

To ensure that you can receive LINE notifications without any issues, your device also needs to be set up correctly.

Configuring notification settings on your device

1. Tap your device's Settings > Notifications.
2. Tap LINE in your list of apps.
3. Turn Allow Notifications ON and configure each of the other settings.

To receive notifications from the LINE app, you need to configure your device's notification settings correctly. Please follow the steps below for your device type.

Notification settings

1. Tap device Settings > Notifications on the iPad.

2. Select LINE from the list of apps.

Microphone settings

1. Tap device Settings > Privacy > Microphone on the iPad.

You can change your pop-up notification settings by following the steps below.

Showing/hiding message previews in pop-up notifications

1. Tap Settings > Notifications.
Note: Tap here to open the Settings menu in the LINE app on your device.
2. Turn Message previews ON or OFF.
Note:
- The profile icons of users that send you messages will appear in pop-up notifications on iPadOS 15 or later with LINE version 11.18.0 or later.
- If you want to hide user profile icons in pop-up messages, turn Show profile icons OFF.

1. On your device, tap Settings > Notifications.
2. Tap LINE in your list of apps.
3. Adjust the settings you want to change.

To configure notification settings for LINE authorized apps:

1. Tap the settings icon > Notifications > Authorized Apps > OK.

2. Select the app you want to configure notification settings for.

To temporarily disable notifications:

1. Tap the settings icon > Notifications.

2. Tap Mute, then select Mute for one hour or Mute until 8 am.

By tapping bell icon

at the top of the Home tab, you can see all of the updates to your Home.

You can configure the types of notifications you receive by tapping Settings

at the top of the Notifications screen.

In Notifications, you can check the following information.

Friends
• Friends you've added/friends who have added you
• New friend recommendations

Favorite friends
• Changed profile information
Note: To add someone to your Favorites, tap star icon

on their profile screen.

Groups
• Group invites
• Groups you're in that new members have joined

Notes
• Likes and comments on notes and comments that you posted
• Notes and comments that you were mentioned in

To turn notifications for chat mentions on or off:

1. Tap Settings > Notifications.

2. Turn Notifications ON.

3. Turn Mentions ON or OFF.

Note:

- If this setting is turned on, you'll be notified whenever you're mentioned in a chat, even if chat notifications are turned off.

- If the person you're chatting with is using the Silent messaging feature available in LINE Labs, you will not receive notifications when they send you chat messages.
